The latest edition of 50 Best Places to Work is an excellent place to start, with insights into a company’s culture, how they look after their employees, what companies promote from within and perhaps most importantly, how they showed leadership during the disruption caused by COVID-19.
The report is created byGreat Place to Work Australia, a global workplace research and consulting firm.The report is created based on research conducted by surveys and evaluation of a company’s policies and procedures. Basically, you find out from employees themselves what makes these companies so great to work for.
The report is broken down intothree different categories based on the number of employees in each company: 1,000 or more employees, 100–999 employees, and 100 orfewer employees.
1,000+ employees
The average large company in this report is around 35 years old, with 80% being in the public sector and 20% in private. Around 90% of staff are employed on a full-time basis.
With a staff size of 1,330, first place goes to worldwide technology leaderCisco Systems Australia, who develop tech equipment for consumers and other businesses. Cisco takes pride in a culture that promotes and encourages personal and professional development.
