The Associate Degree in Medical Science (Laboratory Medicine) requires 2 years of full-time study (or the equivalent part time). The course is offered by the College of Medicine and Public Health. The course is also available as an exit award from the Bachelor of Medical Science (Laboratory Medicine) subject to meeting the requirements in the Program of Study below. Students may also exit transfer from the Bachelor of Medical Science (Laboratory Medicine) to the Associate Degree in Medical Science (Laboratory Medicine). To be eligible to transfer to the Associate Degree in Medical Science (Laboratory Medicine) students must have successfully completed the 67.5 units of the Program of Study below and have not completed MMED3942. In order to be able to exit with the Associate Degree in Medical Science (Laboratory Medicine) students must indicate their intention to not to proceed with the primary degree and transfer to the relevant exit award. The Associate Degree is not accredited by Australian Institute of Medical and Clinical Scientists (AIMS).
