The Bachelor of Engineering Science requires 3 years of full-time study (or the equivalent part-time). The course is offered by the College of Science and Engineering. The course is also available as an exit award from the Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental) (Honours), subject to meeting the requirements in the Program of Study below.

Structure

The first year contains core topics in areas such as electronics, professional skills, engineering physics and materials, engineering mechanics, mathematics, mathematics fundamentals, and physics for the modern world. It also has a range of option topics based on your specialisation choice. Students in the second year study a broad range of topics in your choice of specialisation: biomedical, civil, electrical and electronic, mechanical, or software. In the final year students study further topics in their specialisation, elective topics and also complete an engineering project or industry practicum.
