The Diploma of Education is a pathway program designed to help you transition into the Bachelor of Education. You'll develop foundational knowledge and skills in a supportive learning environment and gain experience in the classroom, setting you up for success in your future studies and employment.The Diploma of Education will equip you with an understanding of fundamental teaching principles from a global perspective, focusing on digital learning. You'll be introduced to the theory that underpins the work of educators and explore the historical and cultural context of teaching. Discover how social beliefs and attitudes influence the design and delivery of different forms of education. Study pathways

Combined diploma/degreeOnce you've successfully completed this diploma, you'll be offered guaranteed entry into the second year of the Bachelor of Education, where you'll have the flexibility to choose your major and the option to fast-track your degree.The Diploma of Education is a pathway to an accredited Teacher Education degree, such as our Bachelor of Education (1567). Completion of the Diploma does not make graduates eligible for initial teacher registration.If you want to study the Bachelor of Education Primary major, you'll need to have previous study in science. There are no additional prerequisites for the Bachelor of Education Secondary major. All Bachelor of Education students must receive a satisfactory result on the (LANTITE) assessed by the (ACER).
