In our Legal Studies course, you will explore the legal system and how it shapes our society. You'll broaden your understanding of the role and operation of law, the structure of the Australian legal system and case law and legislation and the interaction of law with other disciplines and social groupings. You'll explore a range of issues, including human trafficking, crimes against humanity and social and welfare law. You will learn about dispute resolution and have the opportunity to develop your own dispute resolution skills. When you graduate with our new Bachelor of Criminology, you will have employment opportunities within the court and corrections facilities, police services, youth work, community groups and government departments.
