In this course, you will learn about all the major fields in psychology, at introductory and more advanced levels. Areas include perception, emotion, learning, cognition, language, neuroscience; human development through the lifespan; biological, social, and cultural influences on the individual person; personality and individual differences; abilities and disabilities; psychological health and wellbeing, and psychological disorders. The course is designed to integrate your learning of subject matter with the research methods used to discover new knowledge in these fields.

Structure

You can combine this degree with another major such as Biomedical Science, Exercise Physiology or Sport and Health Science to expand your career prospects. You could even combine this course with a major from another Murdoch school to broaden your understanding of how science operates in relation to social, business and health environments.

Recognition

The Bachelor of Science in Psychology is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC). With the addition of a fourth year of study, such as our Graduate Diploma or Honours program, you will be eligible for provisional registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
