This is a Higher Education qualification which leads to employment and/or fast-track into further study at university. Students benefit from small-classes, work-integrated learning with an emphasis on practical and employability skills. The course offers work placement and industry-based final year projects. It develops skills to analyse, design and integrate hardware and software in complex electronics systems. Learn how to construct, test and design advanced analog and digital electronic circuits. Design circuits to interface with sensors, motors, etc and write programs to control them. Study mathematics and physics and apply to electronics. Develop skills in communication, creative problem solving and working in teams. Learning will be enhanced by combining lectures with practical laboratory and workshop sessions, including simulation tools.

Standard entry requirements

  • Certificate III or higher in an Engineering related area
  • Completion of Year 12 and Year 12 Mathematics (minimum ATAR of 60)
  • Satisfactory achievement in the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT).
