Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Economics

The University of Adelaide

Economics studies the interaction of the decision-making of households, businesses and the whole of society. It examines how we respond to incentives (the things that influence decision-making) and how conflicting choices are reconciled. Economics contributes to our understanding of policy design and business strategy; providing the 'big picture'. When combined with the highly valued skills BA students build, such as the ability to find creative solutions to problems, researching and analysing information, the capacity for lifelong learning, and effective communication skills, graduates of this double degree emerge from their studies equipped for diverse and rewarding future careers.
