The Graduate Diploma of Surgical Education is the industry leading course for surgeons who want to pass on their experience and knowledge to the next generation. Students will gain a foundation in educational practice for optimizing surgical training in the complex sets of skills required for safe surgical practice. Offered through the Department of Surgery, in partnership with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), this course caters to the unique challenges of teaching and learning in diverse clinical settings and recognizes the advanced technologies that are increasingly important in surgery and surgical training.

Structure

To gain the Graduate Diploma in Surgical Education, you must complete four core subjects and choose another four elective subjects (12.5 credit points each). You are expected to enrol in four subjects per semester, but its possible to undertake just one, and complete the certificate over a longer period of time.

Standard entry requirements
