The Master of Veterinary Science (Clinical) is a clinically-focused graduate research degree that can be undertaken in a range of specialist research areas. Its offered concurrently with the Master of Veterinary Studies as part of the Clinical Residency Training Program. The Master of Veterinary Science (Clinical) is comprised of two subjects conducted concurrently: a masters research thesis and a clinical practicum for training in clinical disciplines, including clinical research.

Structure

Assessment will be weighted 75% to the research thesis and 25% to the practicum component. A pass is required in both components.

Standard entry requirements

  • A Bachelor of Veterinary Science (usually honours level) or recognised equivalent qualification. All students should be aware of the Universitys English language requirements.
  • Students must be eligible for general registration with the Veterinary Practitioners Registration Board of Victoria in accordance with legislative requirements to practice as a veterinarian in Victoria.
  • Applicants for candidacy will be required to submit a Curriculum Vitae for review and may also be interviewed.
