The Law curriculum has been developed by members of the judiciary, the legal profession and senior staff from some of Australia's leading universities. It is designed to satisfy both state and national professional admission requirements. Once admitted, law graduates will be able to work as solicitors or barristers, allowing them to give legal advice and appear in court. The Law and Arts double degree combines thorough training in law with studies in an arts discipline.

The University of Notre Dame Australia is ranked as the number one university in both Perth and Sydney for learner engagement, skills development, skills scale and graduate employability (qilt.edu.au) because we focus on providing our students with professional experience, transferable skills and ethical grounding to thrive in their careers.

You can study in the heart of Australia’s largest city at our Sydney campus (New South Wales), just minutes from the central business district, or in the town university located in Fremantle, a historical port city, just 30 minutes from Perth City.

At Sydney and Fremantle, undergraduate and postgraduate courses are available in arts and sciences, business, education, law, nursing, medicine and philosophy and theology. In addition, Fremantle also offers programs in health sciences, midwifery and physiotherapy.

As an international student, you will be welcomed into Notre Dame’s vibrant student community and become part of a university that is ranked among the best in Australia for ‘student support’ (qilt.edu.au). Small class sizes means you will have direct access to your teachers and receive high levels of one-on-one academic support, giving you the best chance to excel in your studies.

There are also various opportunities to develop life skills as well as lifelong friendships during your time at Notre Dame, with services and activities including:

• sports (social sporting competitions and intervarsity events such as the Australian University Games, plus an elite athlete program)

• the mentoring program

• student association and clubs social events

• access to careers advice and counselling services

• libraries and private study rooms.
