Biomedical scientists provide the foundation of modern healthcare and assist in developing treatments for diseases. From cancer screening, diagnosis of HIV, design of new drugs, food poisoning and infection control, biomedical scientists are helping to make incredible advances in modern medical science. Working in partnership with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals, they carry out clinical tests, evaluate the effectiveness of treatment, and research the causes and cures for disease. By understanding how the human body works and what goes wrong in disease, biomedical scientists apply their knowledge to develop new treatments. This program will provide students with both the breadth and the depth of modern biomedical science. Learn from researchers who are leaders in this area and benefit from their latest knowledge of biomedical science developments. By integrating study across the various different discipline areas in the biomedical sciences, students will graduate with a well-grounded and wide range of knowledge in biomedical science and enter a rewarding career in modern biomedical science.
