The Master of Education (Inclusive Education) takes a design-thinking approach to analyse challenges faced by people with a range of additional learning needs. It focuses on problem-solving in education, informed by advanced theoretical knowledge from a person-centred perspective. This degree highlights three distinct streams: the autism stream, which provides you with advanced knowledge and skills in supporting an autistic individual; the mental health stream, which provides you with advanced knowledge and skills in supporting individuals with mental health challenges; and the learning differences stream, which provides you with advanced knowledge and skills in supporting individuals with a range of learning needs.
Structure
This course comprises of 10 core and 2 elective subjects. Each subject involves 10 hours of study per week, comprising 3 hours of facilitated study and 7 hours of self-directed study.
Standard entry requirements
AQF Level 7 (Bachelor degree) or above from an Australian university OR An equivalent overseas higher education qualification OR A combination of formal (below AQF7) or non-formal qualifications and three years of relevant professional experience includes those who are currently working in education-related fields and teachers holding alternative qualifications.
