Tristar Aviation is approved by the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority to provide flight training from novice to multi engine instrument rating ATPL. Dual Diploma of Aviation Package

Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) + Multi Engine Command Instrument Rating (MECIR)

If you are looking for a career in an airline, the Dual Diploma of Aviation package is the program for you. This course will take you from zero experience to a Commercial Pilot Licence with Multi Engine Instrument Rating. The Commercial Pilot Licence is the minimum qualification you will need to work as professional pilot and the Instrument Rating component of your training will increase your skill level to allow you to fly in more challenging conditions such as in cloud or at night. The course includes materials, ground briefings, theory course instruction, one-on-one flying instruction and all the required flight tests and theory examinations to reach your goal of a being professional pilot. Small class sizes give greater opportunities for students to interact and enhance learning outcomes and create closer peer connections which is important when studying in a foreign country.

Do you already hold a CPL? The Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating) is also available as a stand-alone course for those wishing to upgrade their qualification.


Diploma of Aviation

Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL)

Duration (48 weeks)

The Commercial Pilot Licence is the minimum licence required to allow you to gain employment as a pilot. The course also covers the Private Pilot Licence. Additional qualifications such as the Command Instrument Rating or Flight Instructor Rating can be undertaken on completion of the commercial pilot licence.  All courses involve structured learning and small class sizes. Courses include materials, ground briefings, theory course instruction, one-on-one flying instruction and all required flight tests and theory examinations.


Prerequisites

  • At least 18 years of age
  • At least 10 years of formal education
  • An IELTS overall score of 6.0 (unless secondary school has been conducted in English)
  • A current Class 1 Aviation Medical
