We are the only law school in New South Wales that requires you to complete a legal internship, providing highly valued industry experience. Structure
The Bachelor of Mathematics - Bachelor of Laws requires the successful completion of 240 credit points as specified below:All compulsory Law subjects for the Bachelor of Laws (114 credit points);30 credit points of electives from the Bachelor of Laws Elective Law Schedule - see Bachelor of Laws (Graduate Entry) for elective subjects);Subjects to the value of at least 96 credit points from the Bachelor of Mathematics, consisting of 60 credit points of core subjects (excluding MATH100 and MATH399), 6 credit points of core electives, and 30 credit points of 300/400 level MATH/STAT/INFO subjects from the Mathematics Schedule (in addition to MATH300).**Students interested in studying this degree part-time should consult with the Law Head of Students.#Students commencing in Spring will undertake their first session in the Bachelor of Mathematics, before completing their first year of Law in their second year of enrolment.Students can complete LLB3396 Legal Internship Program once the pre-requisite requirements are satisfied. Students should refer to the School of Law for further information on opportunities.

DOMESTIC STUDENTS - ATAR-BASED ADMISSION OPTIONS Guaranteed entry selection ranks Entry to this course can be gained with: Minimum ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank) International Baccalaureate (IB) Interstate equivalent (such as the Victorian ENTER or Queensland OP) Results in an overseas qualification deemed equivalent to Australian year 12 The minimum score for guaranteed entry (or for consideration if this course has limited places) is an ATAR-Selection Rank of 75 or an IB of 26. This includes the effect of adjustment factors. Adjustment factors, such as the subjects you are studying, the area in which you live or equity and access schemes, are taken into consideration and these will be combined with your ATAR to adjust your selection rank and make it higher than your ATAR. These adjustments used to be called bonus points. ASSUMED KNOWLEDGE AND RECOMMENDED STUDIES The University assumes students will have studied Mathematics Advanced and 2 units of English. Ideally, students will have studied Mathematics Extension 1. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS Applicants need to have achieved the required score in a qualification equivalent to the completion of 13 years of schooling in Australia. In order to succeed in your chosen course, it is assumed you have completed relevant subjects in your senior high school studies or other relevant qualifications. This is particularly important for degrees which have a strong basis in Mathematics or Science.
Recognition
By completing your law degree at UOW, you are completing an academic qualification that is recognised for admission as a lawyer in Australia, subject to completing state-approved Practical Legal Training (PLT).
