This program provides academic training for those wishing to find employment in the coalface delivery of sport. Academic content includes study in the key sport science disciplines of physiology, biomechanics, motor control and psychology. It also contains a unique sequence of units that focus on the theory and practice of coaching. Employment for graduates would include such positions as professional coaches, sport directors, sport and exercise scientists and coordinators and sport development officers in professional and government contexts and in urban and regional localities.
