We offer 12 different streams of study, from climate change to environmental management and science, to public policy, to sustainable cities and more, including a tailored stream that you can design yourself.You’ll develop specialised knowledge and technical skills in an environmental discipline or field of practice, and graduate with the confidence to use this know-how to create positive changes in our environment.Our graduates go on to effect real change in the world.

  • The Master of Environment is a 200-point program (typically 16 subjects), made up of: Core subjects (25 points)
  • Elective subjects (175 points) from one of 12 specialisations, selected in consultation with an academic advisor.

Standard entry requirements

An undergraduate degree in a cognate discipline with a weighted average mark (WAM) of at least 65 per cent, or equivalent, orAn undergraduate degree in any discipline with a weighted average of at least 65 per cent, or equivalent, and 2 years of relevant documented professional experience since graduation from your undergraduate degree.

Study pathways

The Postgraduate Certificate in Environment or Postgraduate Diploma in Environment can lead into this course. Up to 100 points of Advanced Standing (credit) may be given for relevant work experience and/or previous graduate study in the 200 point Master of Environment.
