The University of Newcastle's Master of Nursing will advance your knowledge to progress your career. Structure

The Master of Nursing consists of 80 units, including 30 units of core courses. Students undertaking one of the seven specializations choose 30 units from the courses in the specialization and 20 units from the General Directed Course List in addition to completing the 30 units of core courses. Students who do not wish to undertake a specialization will choose 50 units from the General Directed Course List in addition to completing the 30 units of core courses.

Standard entry requirements

  • Applicants must be a Registered Nurse with: Honours
  • Or a postgraduate qualification such as a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma
