Standard entry requirements
- Completed Bachelor Degree from a recognised university in built environment, civil engineering, structural engineering, building surveying, quantity surveying, real estate management, facilities management, property management, construction project management, or architecture (applicants who have completed Bachelor degrees from other relevant disciplines will be considered on a case by case basis)
- Or a minimum of six years of relevant industry experience with a detailed curriculum vitae and written employer references stating period of employment and roles undertaken. International students who speak English as a foreign language must have obtained the required standards prior to admission.

The graduate certificate is a pathway into the Graduate Diploma in Built Environment (Building Surveying) which fulfils the educational requirements for Building Surveyor level accreditation by the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors.
