Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Laws

University of Southern Queensland (USQ)

A combined degree of Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws gives students exposure to multiple disciplines, increasing their employability. The Bachelor of Arts degree allows students to study across several skill and knowledge-bases in many different fields of study with plenty of flexibility. By combining this with a Bachelor of Laws, opportunities for employment will expand, as well as the areas of possible employment. By completing a combined degree, students will graduate sooner than if they were to complete two separate degrees. The different areas of law students will explore throughout the degree include Australian Legal System; Legal Writing and Research; Law in Context; Civil Obligations; Equity; Criminal Law; Legal Conflict Resolution; Constitutional Law; Property and Trusts; Administrative Law; Public International and Human Rights Law; Theories of Law; Company Law; Ethics for Lawyers; Civil Procedure; and Evidence. This is then combined with an Arts major of their choice, including Anthropology; English Literature; History; Indigenous Studies; International Relations; Journalism; Legal Studies and Public Relations.
