The University of Tasmania's new science degree provides you with a foundation of core skills in science, analysis and rational thinking, and entrepreneurship. As a BBus/BSc graduate you will have the ability for evidence-based decision making; to clearly frame problems, to acquire and critically analyse knowledge of relevance to these problems, generate innovative evidence-based solutions that enhance the sustainability of business and society, and to effectively communicate their solutions to diverse audiences. Your decisions will be grounded in ethical business practice, and will be based on an awareness of different perspectives and world views.

The university provides a range of services to enhance students' experiences and support academic success. These include:

  • an orientation program to introduce international students to the university and life in Tasmania
  • international student advisers, who provide individual advice on practical, personal and academic matters
  • the Community Friends and Networks Programme (CRNP), offering the chance to join social activities and meet with local community members
  • English language support

On campus, students can attend cultural events, social functions, religious societies, sporting and social clubs, and access student advice and advocacy groups. There is a diversity of faiths within the university community and a new multi-faith centre provides a meeting place and focus for activities on the Sandy Bay campus. The university also offers student accommodation options both on and off campus.
