This degree combines a professional degree with immersion in another language and culture, enhancing professional training and career options. The combined course seeks to augment the value of the Digital and Social Media degree by broadening awareness and understanding of another language and culture. Studies focus on capacities for imaginative, synthetic and analytical thinking and communication, as well as practical skills in digital communication across diverse technological platforms and environments. Graduates are technologically literate, analytically sophisticated, innovative and resourceful leaders for the rapidly evolving digital communications industries.
Structure
Students must complete 240 credit points consisting of 24 credit points of core subjects, a 48-credit-point major and potential 48-credit-point second major (subject to application), 24 credit points of cross-disciplinary electives and a 96-credit-point country major choice. Students who do not meet the requirements to study the second major complete 48 credit points of electives. Students spend their fourth year of study at a university overseas. Students take part in practical and applied projects throughout the course and can elect to undertake a professional placement in industry.

Standard entry requirements
- Australian Year 12 qualification, AQF Diploma, or equivalent qualification at the required level. The English proficiency requirement for international students or local applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0

- Or CAE: 176-184. Eligibility for admission does not guarantee offer of a place. International students: To obtain a student visa to study in Australia, international students must enrol full time and on campus. Australian student visa regulations also require international students studying on student visas to complete the course within the standard full-time duration. Students can extend their courses only in exceptional circumstances.
