Finance involves decision making regarding money, financial assets and real assets. Companies, individuals, banks and governments all need to utilise financial skills to invest, save, borrow and lend. These skills are needed to value shares, decide on corporate investments and provide funding to sustainable and green projects that tackle climate change. The first year of the Bachelor of Business (Finance) is a foundation year that covers all core disciplines of business, while during the second year you will begin your major in finance. This major has an emphasis on real-world financial management using industry software and computer simulations to replicate real-world financial markets. You will also undertake a final-year capstone subject that lets you apply everything you have learned in collaboration with students from other disciplines. Plus, you have the option of applying for an internship to gain valuable experience whilst receiving credit towards your degree.
