Information Technology experts create or manage computer-based applications, systems and networks. Build your knowledge across underlying sciences, IT, engineering and mathematical methodologies when you study a Bachelor of Information Technology at UOW. During your study, you will study the fundamentals of computer science and IT: programming, problem-solving, network and communications, web technology, data management, system analysis, human-computer interaction, and project management.

Subjects

  • Throughout the degree, students will study a common core of subjects that links UOW computer science, IT and information systems degrees. There is an opportunity to specialise in a major at the Wollongong campus from the second year of study by choosing one or more of the following majors: Network Design and Management
  • Web Design and Development. Students who do not wish to specialise in a major will complete advanced subjects providing them with specific knowledge while also instilling them with professional knowledge and skills in information technology.

Standard entry requirements

  • Domestic: Recent secondary education students can gain admission to this course via non-ATAR or ATAR-based options.
  • International: Applicants need to have achieved the required score in a qualification equivalent to the completion of 13 years of schooling in Australia.
