If students aren't eligible for entry to the Graduate Diploma, or wish to take a shorter postgraduate qualification, they should consider this degree. It develops students' knowledge and skills in IT, and can lead to the Masters program. Students can choose any course for which they are eligible.

Students with no prior computing background, or those who are not eligible for direct entry to the Graduate Diploma in Information Technology program

Structure

  • Completion of 24 UOC (Units of Credit
  • 1 course = 6 UOC). Students must also take the course 'Engineering Project Management' as part of the requirement.

Standard entry requirements

  • At least a three year undergraduate degree equivalent to a standard Australian bachelor degree
  • Or three years or more work experience in the area of Engineering or Science.

Study pathways

Students can apply to articulate from the GradCert (7543) to the GradDip (5543) provided they do not fail any course. Full credit will be granted. Students who articulate do not have the option to graduate in the program which they are articulating from.
