This program is ideal for students who have results below direct entry requirements for the UTS Bachelor of Design degree. It will allow students to gain 36 credit points towards the design degree. The program allows students to undertake either the Design or Architecture stream. It has been designed for students to implement their research, analysis, problem-solving, visual and synthesis skills, communicating their original concepts and ideas through diverse images and words and to produce convincing presentations about their findings. Graduates should be able to apply the visible language used by designers to develop original concepts and to effectively communicate these to a target audience as well as being able to develop visual solutions to design problems through a process of progressive refinement, reflection, critical analysis and evaluation.

Students receive 36 credit points towards the UTS Bachelor of Design in the following degrees: Animation, Architecture, Fashion and Textiles, Integrated Produce Design, Interior and Spatial, Design, Photography and Situated Media, Visual Communication and the Bachelor of Landscape Architecture
