The Bachelor of Human Nutrition commences with a broad discipline base in nutrition, food and related sciences. This underpins second year subjects that major in Human Nutrition and Food Science. In final year students acquire further specialist knowledge and skills in Human Nutrition, and have the option of studying a major in Food Science or Food Service, or a minor in Biomedical Nutrition, Public Health Nutrition or Analytical Chemistry. This allows students to broaden and enrich their learning and diversify employment opportunities enabling graduates to successfully compete in professional settings within the community nutrition, food service and food science areas, and the public health sector and/or pursue post-graduate study.

Completion of an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate (VCE or equivalent) including Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or 20 in any other English (or equivalent).PLUS:A study score of at least 20 in one of the following: Biology, Chemistry, Health & Human Development, Mathematics (any) or Physical Education.OR:Completion of an Australian Advanced Diploma or Diploma (or equivalent).
