QUT Asylum Seeker Tuition Fee Scholarship

The QUT Asylum Seeker Tuition Fee Scholarships have been established to enable students who are seeking asylum in Australia to access higher education. Two scholarships were available for Semester 1, 2020.

Eligibility

be admitted to a QUT undergraduate coursework award course in Semester 1, 2025. Priority will be given to commencing students, however current QUT students are encouraged to apply.Students may apply if they have applied to QUT for an undergraduate coursework award course commencing in Semester 1, 2025 and have not yet received an offer of admission. However, an offer for this scholarship will only be made once an unconditional offer of admission has been issued.be an asylum seeker or refugee currently holding one of the following visas (which must be 'In Effect' at time of applying):Temporary Protection visa (Subclass 785), Safe Haven Enterprise visa (Subclass 790), Temporary Humanitarian Concern visa (Subclass 786), Humanitarian Stay (Temporary) visa (Subclass 449).Bridging visa: Applicants holding a Bridging visa (A-E) will also need to submit a letter or relevant documentation from a recognised organisation supporting their status as a refugee or asylum seeker and must ensure they have Australian study rights whilst holding that visa.

Amount $3,500

a full tuition fee scholarship for the duration of your undergraduate coursework award course. a guaranteed QUT Equity Scholarship of $4,200 for one year, paid in two instalments of $2,100.
