Student Housing Grants assist enrolled students in financial need or who need to live away from home in order to attend University.

Eligibility

Applicants must: be enrolled in an accredited course at the University of Melbourne; be paying rent or board; and demonstrate financial need.

A personal means test applies. Students living in the family home or in accommodation owned by their immediate family are not eligible.

Amount $2,000

Housing Grants provide rental assistance to the value of approximately $100 per fortnight for 1 year commencing from the first week of semester and ending in December. Recipients may reapply in subsequent years.
