Professor John Louis Dillon Memorial Scholarship

The donor, a UNE Alumnus, wishes to recognize the influence and impact of the teaching of the late Professor John Louis Dillon on the lives of past UNE students. John Dillon AO (1931-2001) was appointed Foundation Professor of Farm Management at UNE and he spent the remainder of his academic career based in Armidale. John produced path-breaking advances in agricultural economics and farm management and was particularly prominent in the area of international development.

Eligibility

The applicant must be either domestic or international and can be a new or continuing UNE student in their 1st, 2nd, 3rd year in a Doctor of Philosophy with preferred study as on campus full-time. A preferred area of research in Agricultural Economics.

Amount $10,000

The scholarship is valued at $10,000 per annum and is available to a domestic or international student for up to two years in a postgraduate Masters degree (Research) or up to three years for a doctoral level degree undertaking research in Agricultural Economics or research regarding the business of agriculture at the University of New England.
