Study Languages in Australia
International students looking to study a language in Australia are not just limited to English language courses. Language programs in Australia are often found as specialisations within an arts degree, although there a small number of stand-alone courses. Students can choose to pursue study in a particular language (perhaps their native language), including Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese and Spanish. There is also the opportunity to study areas such as translating and interpreting or linguistics. At postgraduate level, programs include Teaching English to Speakers or Other Languages (TESOL) and more advanced studies in languages, interpreting and applied linguistics, along with opportunities for research.
